Cambridge Institute of Technology
The Cambridge Institute of Technology (INTEC) is a research, advisory, accrediting, awarding and validating body. It is involved in organisational and professional development programmes right across children’s services institutions.
With its partners, INTEC has helped to develop a growing range of self-evaluation and development systems for authorities, institutions and individuals.
It works very closely with Pearson Information and the National Association of Professional Teaching Assistants (NAPTA) to devise, run and moderate national programmes, particularly addressing the workforce reform initiative and the Every Child Matters agenda.
National Association of
Professional Teaching Assistants
NAPTA is an independent organisation, formed to provide specialist services and guidance to support staff in schools and other education settings.
NAPTA is not a union. It does not have a political agenda; nor does it concern itself with pay and conditions or with collective bargaining with employers. Rather, it gives practical assistance through a range of products and services, which are included in membership.
Through its innovative Workforce Development Programme, it is now working with over 100 local authorities, 4000 schools and 60,000 individual members of support staff.
NAPTA is closely associated with both the Cambridge Institute of Technology (INTEC) and the Pearson Publishing Group.
