For our Key Stage 4 library, we're working on a series of set text collections for English Literature:
Poetry: Our poetry collection introduces students to some of the best-known and most frequently studied poems of the Romantic and Victorian eras. The resource features audio versions of each of the poems, detailed sample analyses, quizzes and prompts for student notes. Difficult concepts such as metre and key terminology are explained in an accessible way, giving students the tools they need to succeed in their GCSE exams.
Shakespeare: As Ben discussed a few weeks ago, we're currently putting together mobile versions of all the Shakespeare plays studied by GCSE students across the main exam boards, giving students access to their set text whenever they need it. Each play will come with an introduction, prompts for student notes and sample exam questions. Suggestions and techniques for approaching and analysing Shakespearian language are also included, to help students develop their confidence.
Novels: Next, we'll be putting together mobile versions of all the nineteenth-century novels studied by GCSE students across the main exam boards. As with the Shakespeare collection, each novel will come with an introduction, prompts for student notes and sample exam questions.
