Creative Voices showcases entries from Coram Voice’s Voices 16 and Voices 17 competitions. The national contest seeks to dispel the stigma around children in care and care leavers, inviting them to display their creativity and make their voices heard.
The theme for the Voices 16 competition was 'Who makes you happy?'. This year's competition was based on the theme 'New beginnings' and included a special prize category for migrant children.
The app also includes fourteen shortlisted entries from our own CreativeMe writing competition. CreativeMe was run in partnership with virtual schools for Children in Care to inspire children in care to try imaginative writing.
"We're absolutely delighted to be able to share the creative work of children in care and care leavers. We hope that being published in the app will encourage these young people to keep writing and sharing their voices, and we are sure that readers will be inspired too."
